Frequently Asked Questions about Powersports Service & Repair.

How often should you change oil on ATV?

In general, you‘re supposed to perform an ATV oil change about every 100 hours of use, or at least once per year. But be sure to check your owner’s manual to find out what it says about your specific ATV.

How much does ATV service cost?

A general tune-up can cost anywhere between $100-400 and includes anything from changing the oil to swapping out spark plugs to flushing out the braking and/or cooling systems, etc.

Is it normal for a jetski to smoke?

The most likely reason your Waverunner is smoking is from an overfill of oil that is causing it to leak into the airbox and air filter. While motor oil is a critical component to keeping the engine properly lubricated, it can be detrimental to overfill your oil tank.

How long do ATV engines last?

Well-maintained quads that are regularly serviced should last over 10 years without too many problems and many go on well into their twenties. Harder working machines should give at least 6 to 8 years of faithful service before they start to let you down.

Why is my jetski not going fast?

If you have a 2-Stroke, then it could be a clogged carburetor. This is common if you had the watercraft sit for a couple of months. A clogged carburetor will struggle to run, not want to run, or not start at all. Another one could be the fuel lines are rotting away.
